Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Renovated about three years ago, Patatran Village is now entirely made out of Takamaka wood. To give the hotel a stunning Creole decoration, mostly locally made items such as a wooden spoon and fork in wooden vase, wooden fish, and the paintings of Mr. Camille Mondon have been used to decorate the establishment.
Patatran Village has a small garden at the back where various and rich local fruits and vegetables are grown. To save water, the establishment re-use stored treated water to water the plants. Patatran Village only offers its guests Creole cuisine such as an appetizing buffet on Saturdays, grilled barbecue on Thursdays and seafood on Tuesdays. Every Thursday there are dancing shows performed by a traditional group named "Masezarin" and guitarists. Clients always highly appreciate these performances which they also join in. The Patatran hotel also helps the community by giving donations to Children.
