Sustainability
Mr. and Mrs. Godley are the children of Praslin Island and so are their parents and grandparents. They have lots of folklore stories regarding their location. They probably know the history of Anse kerlan more than anybody else.

Environment
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Global warming has a different meaning at Anse Kerlan. Because of the sea level rising, the waves are getting bigger and they are eroding this beautiful beach to the extent that the beach has moved inland nearly 50 metres to its current location. If this continues, there will not be at Anse Kerlan beach within the next 50 years.
To stop the sea aggressive moves, the Godley family has worked closely with the authorities to build and maintain wave breakers with the hope that this beautiful beach, the people and community that lives near and livelihood that depends on the land can be protected as long as possible.
